Proof of test must include the: traveler’s name and date of birth; name and address of the laboratory that administered the test; date the specimen was collected; test method used; and test result.

This health requirement along with other required documents must be presented upon check-in at the airport. Failure to comply with this requirement may result to non-acceptance to take the flight. Failure of Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents to comply with this requirement may also result to a $5,000 fine or criminal prosecution.

Passengers shall also be required to:

Travelers that meet the definition of being fully vaccinated are exempt from the obligation to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Canada, and re-test on day-8. These travelers must submit their vaccination status in ArriveCAN in order to take advantage of modified requirements upon arrival. To check if you qualify for the quarantine and testing exemptions, please visit the COVID-19 vaccinated travelers entering Canada webpage.

Howeverfully vaccinated passengers may still be subject to quarantine and testing if the border officer has determined that they do not qualify for the quarantine and testing exemptions. Passengers must be prepared to present a suitable quarantine plan and comply with other post-arrival requirements.

Passengers must digitally submit their travel and contact information, 14 day travel history prior to arrival in Canada, quarantine plan, and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment before their flight using ArriveCAN within 72 hours prior to arriving in Canada.
